Since the beginning of his surf days, Kauai born and raised surfer Tyler Newton was dropping in on waves without hesitation and catching barrels in some of the most notorious waves in the world. The confidence and skill set the young surfer demonstrated when on a board immediately caught the attention of surf legends and proved he was meant to ride the waves. 

Throughout his career Tyler has traveled to catch swells of a lifetime and competed in many prestigious surf competitions, taking home titles at the 2002 NSSA National Championship and 2007, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Backdoor Shootout Standout Competition. With years of experience and a deep respect for the sport, Tyler remains appreciative and committed to the opportunities ahead.
